If you're looking for a delightful escape that caters to cat lovers and those in need of a little therapy, look no further than Queen City Cat Lounge. Nestled in the heart of Burlington, Vermont, this charming animal café not only offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere but also extends a helping hand to its feline residents by facilitating adoptions.

As you step into the lounge, you’re greeted with a clean and cozy environment, thoughtfully designed for both human comfort and feline playfulness. The lounge is filled with an array of comfy seating options where you can relax and engage with the eight enchanting cats that roam freely, each with their own distinct personality. From energetic kittens eager for playful interaction to older, more relaxed cats content to curl up in your lap, there's a kitty for everyone. As one delighted visitor, Molly, expressed, "Christina who works there was super nice and welcoming… lots of fun to play with." It’s this kind of inviting service that makes every visit feel special.

The lounge is more than just a place to cuddle with cats; it’s a community hub that proudly supports local artists. You’ll find a wonderful selection of unique, handcrafted goods available for purchase, making it the perfect spot to find a unique gift while contributing to the local art scene—a point highlighted by customer Colleen Cole, who appreciated the ability to support the community while indulging in some feline therapy.

One of the unique features of Queen City Cat Lounge is its commitment to the well-being of its feline residents. The owner, praised by customers like S for being a “wonderful person,” is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating cats, ensuring they find loving homes. This meaningful mission resonates with visitors, as they share not only a space but also a passion for improving the lives of these furry friends. Philip Yazbak, a visitor experimenting with cat allergies, noted that the lounge is impeccably clean and well-run—adding to the overall pleasant experience of mingling with these lovable creatures.

While visiting, it’s advisable to bring or wear socks, as shoes are left at the door to maintain the cleanliness of this serene space. Additionally, guests are welcome to bring their own snacks, allowing for a leisurely afternoon spent amongst playful paws and soft purrs. Dionne B specifically mentioned the delightful experience of selecting locally made gifts available in the lounge's shop while enjoying quality time with adoptable cats, emphasizing the dual joy of shopping local and interacting with these charmers.

Overall, Queen City Cat Lounge is a heartwarming addition to the Ethan Allen Shopping Center—an extraordinary place for cat lovers and a sanctuary for those seeking connection and joy. Whether you're looking to adopt, shop, or simply enjoy being around some of the happiest cats you’ll ever meet, this café has something special waiting just for you.

Me and my friend loved it so much and left in the best mood! Christina who works there was super nice and welcoming. There were many young kittens who were full of energy at 11am, lots of fun to play with. Some slightly older cats were napping and cuddly. I love how they help the kitties get adopted too, such a great business to support! If I lived nearby, I would go all the time <3

A wonderful time with the eight sweet cats. The staff was welcoming and the space is beautiful and clean. The lounge is filled with cat toys and has lots of comfortable places to sit for people. This was a great thing to do with guests visiting from out of town. Bring or wear socks, they have you remove your shoes before you go in the room. The location can be a little tricky to find. It is around the corner from La Boca, heading toward Hannaford. We adopted our two cats from Queen City Cats. It was a great experience.

Just a sweet, short visit to help the community and gets some therapy at the same time! Love how they allow local artistry to sell products too!

Firstly, the space is so great. Such a calm, clean, healthy environment for the cats. Second, the cats are so friendly and happy. One crawled into my arms and licked my eyes and ears Third, the owner is a wonderful person. She helped me when I took in street cats. She got them spayed and neutered, and adopted out the kittens. She’s an absolute wonder. Five stars, but only because I can’t post six

An incredible place. As someone who is slightly allergic to cats that has been trying to experiment with slow gradual exposure this has been an awesome place. My partner loves cats and I am currently unable to live with cats but I have noticed my lungs feel a bit more tolerant of them since coming to the cat lounge a couple of times. Queen City Cat Lounge is a clean, well run facility that puts cat health, happiness and well being above everything. I have visited a few times after a long day of stressful work and being with the cats in this charming lounge is awesome. I can feel the stress fade away in this atomosphere. Someday when I become a bit more tolerable of my cat allergies, I would love to adopt a cat through QC Cats.

Lovely place to get the cat lover in your life a locally made gift. Along with their artist's section, you can spend some quality time with the loving and ADOPTABLE cats in their lounge. No snacks are served here, but you are welcome to bring your own. Definitely a new and welcomed addition to the Ethan Allen Shopping Center.

A beautiful and welcoming space for kitties and humans alike! Lots of neat toys and beds and towers for the kitties, and couches for the people. The gift shop is wonderful! Lots of variety and prices that people can afford. I loved it! I plan to go back again.
